Instructor's Biography
Brenda Detta, owner of Discovering GPS, has been active in the outdoors
for most of her life. She grew up on a farm, and enjoys hunting, trapping
and fishing with her family. Graduating from Sir Sandford Fleming College
as a Fish and Wildlife Technician, she has worked as a Fisheries Technician,
and most recently, as a Fur Technician.
Brenda has become certified as an Instructor in the Green Check GPS Certification
Program through the Canadian Ecology Centre. One of the hobbies she enjoys
with her young family is Geocaching, using her GPS to find hidden treasures
throughout the area. Brenda would enjoy showing you how to use your GPS
to also enjoy Geocaching, or to use it to its full potential as an outdoors
navigational tool.
Easygoing, yet committed to excellence, Brenda’s energy and enthusiasm
for sharing her love of the great outdoors is contagious.
