for lunch. Also bring snacks and drinks for during the day.
This class will be indoors for the first half of the class, and then
will be outdoors - rain or shine. Please dress appropriately - consider
the following:

• Wide brimmed hat
• Sunscreen
• Bug repellent or bug jacket

Through hands-on experience, training scenarios and testing using known standards, this course will provide the student with the ability to apply basic GPS, map and compass skills. The National Green Check GPS Certification Program will certify participants through a competency-based evaluation. Successful participants will be registered in an international database, valid for three years. Many organizations – emergency services, health units, educational institutions, First Nations, municipalities and companies recommend and have endorsed the Green Check Program.
By obtaining the National Green Check GPS Certification you will have demonstrated you have met the standards for competent use of the Global Positioning System by the Canadian Ecology Centre. The certification course will provide students with the following:
